neevebrody - What an absolutely stunning work of art. I love colouring and the movement from light to dark, from a somewhat bleached image to the more defined ones towards the bottom. There's a sense of balance, two worlds colliding, the hint of good and bad but not as stark contrasts, rather as bleeding into each other.
cmk418 - Love this insight into Sister Pete, her struggle with her faith and the way Keller has both served and undermined it. He's a test of her beliefs, one without an easy answer and it says so much about her that she fights this battle within herself. In many ways Keller's existence says more about herself and who she is than anything else.
lisacali - Honestly, this is one of my favourite stories. You captured the characters so well, so honestly that I want to read it over and over. I always found the relationship between Sister Pete and Keller to be rather fascinating. They all knew what the game was and yet he was captivating and Sister Pete (when she allowed herself to be honest with herself) found him exciting. He opened up

Thank you! As soon as I heard about Graffixation, I knew I wanted to do something along these lines. It was the first thing that came to mind and both authors did a fantastic job of interpretation. Also, the art was created in a way to not only show the contrasts, but to be taken from either side - Keller or Sister Pete.
I like that she's wise enough to know better yet still falls for his charms -- because he's that good at pulling the con and because, to a certain extent, she wants to fall for it, wants to feel that rush of excitement.
Just how I'd summarize it...*g*
Thanks so much for this great feedback. I'm always thrilled when I'm inpired to write a new (for me) character/pairing and that you enjoyed this story so much really made my day!
cmk418: Oh my, that last line! This is a wonderful look inside Sister Pete and I love that not only does she have Chris' number, but she's also afraid of becoming just another one - another in the long line of things and people Keller has destroyed. I love also, that she recognizes this and is already steeling herself against it.
Redemption was a big theme in my perception of the artwork - redemption both ways - and you've done a wonderful job of bringing that out. Thank you!!
lisacali: I love this fic! Admittedly, the artwork was a bold leap, but I am so pleased that you chose it. I've always been fascinated by the relationship between Keller and Sister Pete and the dark, forbidden undertones it implied. I chose the subject because I wanted someone to write about that and you certainly did not disappoint!
Let me take a bit from your author notes: …inspiring a story I very much enjoyed writing. (Once I figured out in which direction I wanted to go.) This made me so happy, because the piece was designed to inspire from either POV.

Oh, thank you so much for the lovely fb - I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. I was immediately drawn to your artwork, so glad I got it! I instantly knew it would be Pete's POV, and the color/tone of the picture made me think of dreams, which lead me to write the story around why she would be dreaming of Chris. I so appreciate the motivation your art gave me to write this - I was very inspired!
Thank you! I'm really glad you liked my take on your art.
I think that Keller needs her. She is probably one of the few people in his life who honestly thinks that he's capable of redemption. He tries to play her like he does everyone else, but if she doesn't come back, his faith suffers.
Neevebrody : your artwork is so amazing, so full of imagery that shows the emotional see-saw Pete experienced with Keller.
Cmk418: you're a master of the drabble format. Once again, you tell a long, winding story in a few, spare, but so full of meaning words.
Lisa : such an original story, where we find our characters being just like we know them : Toby, resentful and bitter ; Chris, obsessed and ready for any sacrifice that can lead him to his objective; Pete, wavering between feelings and finally ending it completely. You know them so well.
Thank you so much! I created the piece with the thought in mind that it could be interpreted from either point of view - Keller or Sister Pete. I will always think there's some deep inside Keller that wanted to believe the things Peter Marie told him abut himself and about redemption.
neevebrody: Your artwork is just so striking. I don't know how many screencaps you must have gone through to find that particular expression of Sister Pete's, but it was definitely worth all the trouble. I was completely drawn in by her face, and it took a moment for my eye to take in the other images. I get such a sense of thoughtfulness but underneath, conflict. It looks deceptively simple, but your artwork is really very complicated. And emotional. I really love it.
cmk418: This really sounds like Sister Pete. You really captured her voice. And her fear and struggle. Wonderful drabble!
lisacali: I don't even know where to start. Even though we only see Chris at the end, the whole story was like a portrait of him. And of Sister Pete! I was fascinated by how she kept justifying her actions, even though she knew she was wrong. The conclusion was so inevitable, every action (or inaction) leading to Chris behind bars and Sister Pete alone again. I'm really blown away by this story

Thank you, sweetie! From the minute I read about Graffixation, I had this in mind and I think both authors did such a wonderful job of bringing the piece to life. Actually, I may have had to cap that scene myself to get just that look, but as soon as I saw it, I figured that to be the centerpiece.
This was a wonderful idea and I really hope you do it again in the future (you've done a great job, considering all the snafus at the beginning. Count on me for next time.

Thank you for that! My original version had Chris thoughtout the story, but I really liked the idea of seeing it play out through Pete's eyes.
I'm glad you liked the inclusion of Gloria and Ray - I wanted to make sure Pete had some kind of social life outside her work - I didn't want it to seem too easy for her fall back in with Chris.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed this story.
And THANK YOU for putting this all together! I'd love to do it again, somewhere down the road.
