A jury of your peers?

In 2004, FOX aired a short-lived show called The Jury that was created/produced/co-written by Tom Fontana. In the episode "Last Rites," the 12-member jury was made up entirely of actors who had appeared on Oz. I found a short clip from the episode on an acting reel that muMs posted to YouTube. Here are some screencaps:

That's what I thought, too! I mean, it's no "Starwater," but still... :-)

It's my weakness but when I see them all together (not really all) my heart is full of joy. And the clip is quite interesting.

I know what you mean--I always get a little thrill when I see two (or more) Ozzies acting together in something else. And this particular episode of The Jury focused on a murder that had happened during a prison riot, so it was all a bit of an inside nod to Oz.

Wow. I remember the show (but didn't watch it for some reason) but I don't remember hearing about this episode.

The show had what sounded like a really interesting premise-- each episode was like a different take on "Twelve Angry Men" where a jury/guest cast discussed a trial and reached a verdict. Then at the end, the viewers saw what "really" happened so they could see if the jury made the right call.

I'm surprised you remember it-- there were only 10 episodes, and it aired during the summer. Apparently the ratings were bad from the beginning, because FOX ended up moving it to Friday nights after the third or fourth episode. Maybe it would've been more successful if it had been on cable. :/
