Vol 4 is kinda sooper dooper sparkly awesomeness. Just a note.

This is one of those series that I love and then have almost nothing to say about when I sit down to write it up. Or to comment on when others do!

Yay! Mostly I just want to see Alice kick ass at the party.

I ended up watching more of the anime of this after bouncing off the first episode when it first aired. Then I discovered the last disc was never released due to Geneon going under. Wah!

I do love Alice, but probably not enough to take my feeling toward the series from liking to love.

Gah! Unfinished series = teh suck!

Yeah, I think this is in my category of "very solid, I like it, but don't love it."

Correction: Funimation picked up the license and appears to have released the last disc as part of a box set. But not on Netflix yet.

I pretty much agree with what you've said - like it but don't love it. This is a series that my husband is following also - he even asked when the next volume was coming out! (Usually he just expects that more manga will show up eventually and leaves it at that.)

Still, nice solid series are always good to find.

Heh, I wish manga would magically appear in my house...

I haven't read volume 3 yet, but it's on my pick-up-when-seen list.

The Japanese title is indeed in katakana, パンプキン・シザーズ = Panpukin Shizāzu.

If you're looking for more evil female scientists, you could try Shaenon Garrity's Narbonic http://www.narbonic.com/cast.html webcomic, which has an evil female scientist lead.

Cool! I'm not actively looking for them at the moment, but will keep that in mind. Thanks.
