Mars is based on the manga by Soryo Fuyumi, only set in Taiwan. Good girl artist Han Qi Luo (Aso Kira in the manga) and bad boy motorcyclist Chen Ling (Kashino Rei in the manga) meet cute when he asks her for directions and she responds by drawing him a map. He's fascinated by the sketch on the back, and he ends up awkwardly attempting to befriend

I also really enjoyed this drama. (It was one of my first, and possibly the only tdrama I've finished.) Barbie Xu does a great job as Kira/Qing Mei. I was so pleased by her performance. ^_^

I'm so torn between mainlining episodes and trying to drag them out because they're really good!

Yeah, I love his Da Ye as well, but there are a lot more nice secondary guy characters in dramas than secondary women (why always so evil writers?! why?!), which makes Qing Mei even more awesome. Ok, there is evil in the form of Sa Zhi, but at least she's not the main secondary female character.

The fact that it's about an ongoing, developing relationship rather than a courtship which concludes once they get together was definitely one of the things I liked best about the manga. The drama sounds good.

Yes, definitely! And it helps that the drama actors have a good deal of chemistry together as well, and they make me go "awwwwww!" all the time.
