Ju Ming museum + even more food

Random things about Taiwan:

  1. I am grateful beyond expression that most bathrooms in Taiwan now come with toilet paper. Some even come with toilet seat covers! Still more amazing is the fact that people now seem to be sitting on the toilet seats as opposed to squatting on them and leaving the dirty marks of their shoes on the toilet seats.

Ji rong is very tasty, albeit very time-consuming!

Those shots of the mountains are just gorgeous! And the food looks heavenly. (: Glad you're having a good time, and thanks so much for posting these.

The mountains are one of the things I do miss when I'm in California-California's dirt hills (at least in the summer) really aren't the same thing as the jungly, misty ones here.

I totally get that, because I miss California's dirt hills whenever I leave here. (:

Bwahahahaha! Oh! I forgot to ask you: is there anything you want from Taiwan?

Nothing really, thanks for asking though! Let me know when you're back in town and moved into Berkeley. We need to do an anime/asian drama marathon sometime!

Hi, I've been lurking for a little while now...hope you don't mind! These pictures are fantastic--they make me really miss real Chinese food (especially the fish). I've been to Taiwan once, when I was seven, and remember the mugginess well. The Ju Ming museum sounds really cool; I think we only went to the National Palace Museum but I'm not terribly sure. We didn't go to anything "modern", that's for sure.

Hi! Glad you delurked ^_^. I think the Ju Ming museum is pretty new, because my mom said she went about four (?) years ago and all the trees had just been planted. For sure I've never heard of it before.

Awesome series! Man, I am hungry! Thank God I am about to go meet Jody at Clementine. I think the char sui and steamed egg and prawn and... okay, a lot of it looked really good. However, I do not like uni and I do not like yama imo, so those are two slimy textures that would not be better together.

A piece dedicated to benevolent mothers.

For some reason that made me laugh most of all.

Possibly because you could hear my sarcastic commentary in your head ;).
