Mizushiro Setona - After School Nightmare, vol. 08-09 (Chi. trans.)

Jun 12, 2008 19:59

My internet access has been really spotty of late, and I can't stay on the computer long anyway because of my eyes, so I may be concentrating more on posting and less on commenting and reading for a while.

More on topic: I am not even sure why I am bothering to write this up, since no one will read it for a couple of months anyway. Still!

Spoilers are spoilery )

manga: after school nightmare, manga, a: mizushiro setona, sequential art, manga: shoujo

Wait, so the Ai we've been seeing is purely a product of Sou's imagination? But didn't Ai speak to Mashiro in real life before?

I must take a moment here and do the 'ha ha, I KNEW it' dance of joy. *does so* And I adore Mizushiro Setona even more for it.

Though, aren't the only meetings Mashiro has with Ai dream-world ones? I remember one of the reasons I was 99% sure that she wasn't real was that she never interacted with anyone besides Sou in the real world.

I can't remember! I have to reread because I remember one interaction that had me convinced that dream-Ai couldn't be Sou, but that may have been in the dream world!

I should't have read his, but I don't have will power. la_vie_noire June 13 2008, 04:13:46 UTC
OMG. When I started with the series, Ai was my first choice for Suo's form in the dream. I thought she was like a super-ego or something (I thought he was gay and was repressing it, but I don't think that anymore). But I immediately discarded that theory when I saw that Ai was supposedly to be... a real girl. I feel so ingenuous.

And the hand hasn't shown up for quite some time...

But... didn't she 'disappear' from school already? I mean, wasn't it that girl, Momoka, who disappeared due to not going to classes?

That's good, I was here thinking that that was revealed to be part of Ichijo's imagination too or something.

Ohhhhh, oh yeah. I totally forgot about Momoka. Sigh. This is why I should just read series straight through when they're finished, not that that'll ever actually happen because I have no patience.

OMG. I love how Sou is Ai and everyone thought it was impossible because Ai is a real girl, only of course there is Ai the real girl and Ai the figment of Sou's imagination!

No problem, and hi!

AI! It is so obvious now that I know it, and yet!

You were totally right! The best part is, I think I was talking to Mely about it, and we were both, "Oooo. That would be interesting!" And then we both decided it couldn't be possible after vol. 7 or something. Oh manga, I love you so much!
