I feel like Kohane is more Watanuki's double than anything else--the eyepatch and the ability to see spirits are suggestive. But her name does mean little feather, so that would seem to tie her into the main plot of Tsubasa somehow as well.
Yeah... and I feel we are in for a Big Reveal about her eventually just to explain why she's been so prominent in the latest plotline. Not that I mind, because I love her, but aiieee, so worried!
My vote is always for Doumeki, but I think that's just because I want to see him and Watanuki either make out, or have a tragic love-separation-scene. :-) I am a sad, sick person.
Hee! Like Rilina, I find Kohane's eyepatch and spiritual abilities telling, and I think Watanuki in particular sees her as another, possible version of himself. I'm not sure now if Doumeki is Watanuki's double! Just because there's already a Doumeki double in the shape of Haruka, although I think Doumeki is sort of Watanuki's reverse foil, practical and stoic and calm instead of over-the-top and prone to spiritual pies in the face.
