Heroes 2x09 Cautionary Tales

Nov 19, 2007 22:38

OMG. It is so fitting that my local news is now advertising a story: "Not your average blonde woman: the peculiar effects that blondes have on men." (quote taken verbatim, thanks to the joys of Tivo)

SPOILERS HAVE MASSIVE RAGE )

tv: heroes, fist of feminist rage, tv, feminism

Agreeing with your comments here and over beyond the link.

Also not pleased with Parkman deciding to use/manipulate/control the following:

* the child who depends on him and who has been reduced to either 'doll' or 'tool' status

* a person of color who had authority over him

* a woman (Angela Petrelli)

Word re: Matt. I am usually allergic to telepathy used to manipulate/wipe minds/control anyway, and Matt's use of it was particularly skanky. On your foster daughter? Really? Fail.

It's kind of fitting, really, with the stupid.

Yeah, Matt's going to be an official villain in 5...4..3..2...

Right there with you. I can't even do a write-up. I'm too mad.

So get that. I probably wouldn't have finished watching were it not for the census post for bobthehaitian. I was literally yelling at my TV and then going "FAIL!" and then "Lalalalala!" whenever West was on the screen.

I'm sure I was quite a sight to see ;). Thankfully, it was just the rats as an audience.

I must have had a premonition, becasue I just plain decided not to watch it last night.

From what I'm reading, I'm glad I did.

I think I now have an extra hour free on Monday nights for doing somthing that won't drive me into a fury.

Yes. So very yes. I am still trying to decide if I should watch the final two eps of the arc or not....

I know! If they want dramatic death sequences, the people need to _stay dead_ for it to work! And that's not even thinking about the politics part. Ugh.

Two things I'd say to Mohinder: almeda November 21 2007, 01:41:04 UTC
(a) Too dumb to live, too pretty to die. Still. Dammit.
(b) How's that Stockholm syndrome going, Dr. Suresh?
