If you've decided to stick around, then I hope things lighten up for you and start looking better.

I think that as long as you like what you're studying, or you're interested in exploring those respective areas - then push on.

Everything is easier said than done. But as mentioned, those things make up who you are. Now I'll shut up and write in that overdue letter.
