It was good. A good performance by Lior Ashkenazi - who, my friend enlightened me, is probably an Israeli jew whose parents immigrated from Germany.

It's a no-nonsense plot that has a purely event-based progression. though it has it's sensitive moments when it tries to explore the character's mindsets vis-a-vis their honest conversations. Executed meticulously in terms of shots and editing and in a conspicuously prosaic fashion.

Definitely a better effort on the subject than that artistic farce Munich.

of course i saw Borat, and twice for $10 a pop in US theaters. Loved it the first time, was just okay the second.
