Oh, wow. What a brillant story. It's just so well written, and I loved the story line, and if there is something I cannot resist it's foreshadowing of things to come. When they walked across the future Battlefield of Camlann it gave me shivers - you described the place so well I could actually see it. I love the entire story and just read it in one sitting, but that was easily my favourite scene.
Oh, hey! You make me very happy to give something to this story, which is sat rather neglected now it's done, so thank you. Yeah, I wrote it all in one big go and staggered the posting (because I'm a whore for comments) which meant that I could always foreshadow what I had in mind. Oh, plus, working in some of the Arthurian legends was fun, too, so I'm glad you liked that.
(Sorry for taking so long to reply, I've not had internets for weeks D: )
Thank you so much! It's awesome to know people are still liking this :) (Also, well done for going through the archives and finding something so old! I know the fandom's huge now. ♥)
I love how you portrayed Merlin here, really not wanting to have to do all of this - I'm guessing because he knows of the heartache that comes with it - and doing it nonetheless because, well, he's Merlin.
Also really really liked how you handled the Morgana situation. I alwas think that for the version the BBC has it just doesn't make any sense for Morgana to turn super evil just like that. *sigh*
Kinda broke my heart though, over all. There was so much underlying sadness and sweetness that never the less wasn't exactly enough... Loved how the last sentence encapsulates that.
That was so, so intense. I absolutely loved it, the blending of the original myth and the show, the tiny details you'd throw in at the beginning. I especially enjoyed the way you described the final battle and the magic. And the last two paragraphs...may well stay with me forever.

Reading this back, it's so melodramatic, but I think the BBC's handling of it was even more random and OTT - and OOC, actually.
I love it when people get the tone I was after :) so thank you! ♥
