If I remember right you chose to take classes you didn't necessarily have to. :p Which may be why you love it. Or maybe just because you're you and you enjoy keepin' busy. I can't wait to see what kind of projects you tinker with when you're a little old lady (that is if you're not teaching and stroking out in class at the age of 94).
