I knew I wanted The Hobbit fic when I came out of the movie, but it took me until a couple of days ago to realise exactly what I want: the epic tale of Thranduil and Thorin. How can so few words shatter me so hard? Damn. I completely agree, we need the epic tale of this love, 60,000 words at least. Someone needs to get on that!

I made myself sad writing it!

It's weird, I don't know what made me think of this pairing all of a sudden, but now I can't get that scene outside Erebor out of my head, and I want need fix-it fic!

I was actually listening to a fangirl podcast the other day about The Hobbit movie and their thoughts on that scene boiled down to Thorin yelling 'Help us' and Thranduil actually being like, "You want help? Where were you when my heart was breaking over you?!" and then like two days after that I went to see the movie again and that whole scene was just colored by all the Thorin/Thranduil Feels.

And since it's on my mind, my sister literally just got done showing me this Modern AU Trailer for The Hobbit that is amazing, so you can enjoy that too.

I tend to see that scene as Thranduil's heart breaking because he just can't risk all his company in an endeavour that will probably get them all killed, but it's killing him inside to leave Thorin. And Thorin's heart breaking because he didn't expect Thranduil to just turn away.

Either way, hearts are broken!

That trailer is brilliant, and makes me want to see that version of the Hobbit in full!!!
