Thanks to fourfreedoms, I'm now craving Southland, Ben/Sammy fic. Though I might just keep reading Keep Your Heart Strong over and over. If you watch Southland, don't bother with this post, just go over there now! It's on AO3 tooI absolutely love it when there's so much of who a character is deep down, what makes them tick, tied up in who they're attracted ( Read more... )

Ohmygod. I was not expecting this! Thank you, so, so much. This makes me want to write 80 bajillion more fics of them. I don't actually have words for how this rec makes me feel!

I'm so glad you liked it. It was funny, because the first 9/10ths all plotted themselves in a rush, and the last 1/10th was like climbing Everest--and then the finale happened and I wasn't sure where that would situate this--but I woke up one night and just had to finish it.

I'm all for you writing 80 bajillion more fics of them! Or just 80 will do - I'm not greedy!

I don't actually have words for how this rec makes me feel!

I'm not sure my words did justice to how this fic made me feel!

There really isn't anywhere near enough fic in the fandom! It's a shame - such fabulous characters, I'd love to read more about them.

I am a big fan of fourfreedoms writing in general.

Me too! (I would really, really love to be able to write a fic like this.)

Thank you for this rec! Pretty much every Southland fic I've read has been Cooper/Sherman, but I'm open to anything good. I haven't found much of anything lately so I'm super excited to get stupid grocery shopping done so I can get home and read this.

I've mostly read Cooper/Sherman too, but I think I actually prefer this pairing. And now I want more of it!
