20inspirations round 11 - The Social Network icons

My first set of icons for 20inspirations, round 11. In which The Social Network is the heart-breaking, angst-ridden love story of Mark and Eduardo. Okay, I strayed with a couple of icons, but it's basically pining and regrets all the way!

Thank you so much! I spent ages dithering over Constellating - I wanted to improve the contrast/colouring, but the skin tones kept going muddy, so I ended up keeping it simple - I'm so happy you liked the finished result.

Love the neg space and purples in Breathe Me. So pretty and dramatic and also sorta lonely. Very fitting for Mark.

Absolutely adore the crop in Redemption Song, and the yellow tones in his face are gorgeous! Perfect text, too!

Pursuit of Happiness has sucha flawless crop and great lighting. It totally encapsulates the title of that song cuz he looks so triumphant!

Beautiful use of a blue texture in Broken Strings. It makes a lovely complement to the green tones in the icon!

Details like this are like catnip to an icon-maker!

I was really pleased at the crop in Redemption Song - I find close crops hard, so I'm happy that worked. I did try to make the skin tones more natural, but it was such a dark cap, I gave up in the end and went for yellow! I liked the finished result, but I wasn't sure if other people might think it was too yellow, so I'm glad you like it!

Pursuit of Happiness was a great cap to work from - it just took a judicious bit of fiddling with lighting to highlight the right area, and that's about all I had to do with it.

Anyone who's seen an icon post of mine knows that yellow is like crack to me, so I doubt anything could ever be too yellow! :)

I think my favourite of all the TSN icons I've seen though is this one I'm using by you. It feels a bit like a pre-Raphaelite painting, but it really encapsulates Mark at the same time.
