Wow, that's a very interesting concept for a fill. It's good to see Charles and Erik finally having the happy ending they deserve (and I am so totally grinning from ear to ear from that last sentence). You've done a terrific job. <3

I thought it was a really cool prompt too - I couldn't resist it!

Glad the ending made you grin - I really wanted to give them a new start, a happy one.

Thank you! :-)

Yes! So happy to see this story, and that you gave them a happy ending! I was worried that at some point we were going to get sent back to the regular X-Men 'verse and Erik was going to be Charles's enemy and all was going to be sad and miserable, and was quite glad that that was ultimately not the case. I also think it worked really well for them to come together pretty quickly -- they are made for each other, after all!

I had to have them make the most of having a second chance. And I'm a sucker for fix-it fic in this fandom.

I was going to try to pace their relationship more slowly, but it just happened somehow - like you say, they're meant to be!

So glad you enjoyed it. I must confess, I'm driving myself nuts now seeing all the flaws in it, so I have to resist the temptation to keep going over it and editing! I want to change the whole style of it, hah - I am crazy!

I'm so glad to see the rest of this - glad and sad too, since there'll be no more. But still, it was a great journey. Your take on the prompt - that indeed, the memories Charles have are lies - is surprising but not in a bad way, and you really made it work. I especially loved how you wrote Erik and Charles, and the depiction of the accident nearly broke me.

Faved and I'll read this again many times ^^

Thank you! I'm really glad I managed to surprise you - I didn't want it all to be too predictable, even though anyone who knows me could probably guess there'd be a happy ending! *g*
