(Also - I had the same thing with Fringe in that no-one wrote Charlie/Peter for me (this was before we found out Charlie had a wife) so I wrote it for myself and, like, one other person. Fringe fandom never caters to me! *shakes fist* I don't need a billion (approx.) Peter/Olivia fics when I get that so perfectly and achey in the show!)

It's funny the way certain pairings in a fandom can just take over. I've hardly seen any slash in Fringe - actually, I think the only slash I really fancy is alt!Charlie/Lincoln, peripheral to alt!Charlie/Lincoln/Olivia. Which is really unlike me, as I'm not a poly fan at all normally! And, much as I love Peter/Olivia, I just don't feel any urge to read it either - I guess it's like you say, the show gives us such a perfect, achey relationship, it's hard to better it.
