OMG, I had such a hard time making that work for myself! I've been sitting on this story forever because it just seemed ridiculous, but on the other hand, shit does happen, and that particular accident was real life (though not for me, I'm glad to say)! *g*

This was fantastic. I loved the tone, your Nate POV and the ending. The ending was perfect, including Nate's pitch perfect declaration of love to Brad, how straightforward, honest and brave he was and how Brad was right there with him.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked the declaration - I wrote that in the middle of the night, half asleep, on a scrap of paper, in such awful handwriting I struggled to work out what it was meant to be the next day!

Oh S, you star you - that was lovely and hot and cute, and full of squeeable moments (and the drunken phonecall, too). Somehow these two I can buy as a couple (and Brad loving pussy, too, obv.) in a way I can't always with slash (but then you know I am more of a het girl...). And loved the little touches, and the whole Marine ethos.
