The lovely exsequar handheld me through the two toughest episodes of Band of Brothers, so I could finally get to explore the fandom a bit. And I'm trying to post more regularly this month, so have a few recs and some icons. More fun than thinking about the dismal state of the British government.1

OH! I'm so glad you posted BoB icons and recs, because I just watched the show a couple of months ago, and was completely and utterly lost at trying to find my way through the fandom - I didn't even know where to begin!

[But where are the Lipton icons? He's my faaaaaaaaavourite! (BoB made me crush Donnie Whalberg. It's incredibly embarrassing and confusing.)]

Also: NAAAAATE! And STAAAAAAAARK! ♥♥♥!!!

destina's link might be a good place for you, especially if you're after slash. I've been browsing AO3, though I haven't tried much there yet.

I have almost no Lipton caps! I ADORE Lipton - that scene where Spiers tells him he's been pretty much leading the company made me so happy! I just don't let myself think about who's playing him! *g*

That link will probably be a life saver; I wasn't into slash before GK AT ALL, but I think that with war fandoms, it's kind of hard not to. ;)

And seriously, I love Lipton so much that he made me crush Donnie Whalberg for real! I watched a In Plain Sight episode last month and I was giddy that he was in it - and then I thought "Wait. No. That is so not on." As I said, very confusing. *shakes head*

And I adore YOUR icon! Oh, Stark. ;)

Weirdly (as I got into fanfiction by discovering slash and going 'oooh, yes!'), I'm not so much into slash with Band of Brothers. Though that might well change - I just enjoyed reading a Spiers/Lipton story by ilovetherain, and I've read that one Winters/Nixon one. But I don't have a must read pairing in the fandom yet, which I normally have, that makes me crave fanfic.

Hah, you poor thing - most confusing having an unwanted crush!

aubreyrose let me use her gorgeous photos, and meeks00 has too, so I've been icon-making again. I just can't get enough Stark Sands icons!

Two council candidates, tied on 1,034 votes each, had to draw cards to see who won! Seven trumped a three!

Ooh, Band of Brothers recs! I have only read a little in the fandom so far.

I haven't read much either, but from what I've read of buffyaddict13's stories, I can fairly confidently just rec her work as a whole - she has a fantastic grasp of the characters.

I saw someone on my flist mentioned the lack of notifications too, so presumably it's a known problem and will be fixed. It's just a pain.
