Two Doctor Who vids, one vidder. Both incredible, particularly in their use of dialogue overlaying the music. They make me just ache for new episodes.

His Name is 'The Doctor' by seduff
A look at the doctor through the eyes and words of his companions and friends. I have to admit, this made me tear up a bit - powerful stuff.

They're fabulous, aren't they! I've never seen any of seduff's work before, so they were quite a thrill to find today.

How did you find it?)))
For such amazing clips she has so little comments and sadly no recent activity(

It was pure chance, clicking around on youtube, looking for something else, and I decided to play a Doctor Who vid, not expecting much, and it was wonderful! I've tracked down her youtube page, so you can find more links there. And it turns out she's got a lot of comments there, which is good - I recced it here as well as on my rec page because it seemed shameful that she had so little feedback on her journal.

This one is my favourite - embarrassingly so. I never thought I'd like a vid featuring My Immortal! *g*

April 11th? Excellent! I'd completely forgotten that there'd probably be an Easter special. Though I must admit, I do tend to prefer the episodes that are part of series, rather than the stand-alones. But still, new Who will be good!

Wow, thanks for the link on the betaing post. I've bookmarked it to read later today when I have more time. This looks super thorough and like there will be lots of food for thought. I think the editing process -- from either side -- is fascinating, and can be so very powerful when things go well.:)

I think there are a lot of authors who still see betaing as little more than editing for typos. In which case they're missing out on so much! There are lots of good pointers in the workshop to help both sides get the best out of a beta.

Me too - and there are more of her vids here. Worth watching, even though I don't normally like watching vids on youtube.
