It's a simple matter of sweet-talking that figures this all out.

Pawns and rooks of a chess set, one after the other, as L crooks his smile in that innocent kind of way and perches on the edge of his chair.

You kiss like you are a girl, Ryuuzaki.

And you kiss like you want something, Yagami-kun.

He moves forward the knight, kicks over one of Light's bishops and spots a severe hole in the boy's defenses.

Which means?

You kiss like you mean to overpower someone.

Light's timid when he moves forward the rook.

You kiss like Kira.

Light is somewhere between infuriated and awe-struck when he touches a finger to his king.

Succumb to you, or I am Kira?

L's face crookedly tugs into a wolfish smile as he watches Light gently tip his king onto its side.

Oh, wow, this is a flattering comment. Makes me feel good I can appeal to someone who doesn't know Death Note XD

I'd recommend it, at least the first two thirds or so. Light's and L's dynamic is great on the show, I'm so fascinated with their relationship. It's nine kinds of fucked up.

This is awesome. You definitely capture Light and L's personalities. Bonus points for referencing Mindless Self Indulgence in the title.
