Hee, as I had Martha answering Lionel's booty calls (while Jonathan mooed plaintively in the field) last week, I thought I'd take a stronger line this week! She's not going to cave easily!! *g*

I adore this little story so much. This is *exactly* how Martha and Lionel would begin, surface politeness with endless depth and subtext beneath it. When this thing finally comes to a head between them, it will be like waking a sleeping dragon.
