Just a quiet, simple kiss, the way Duck kisses when he wants to tell Dan he loves him but can't manage the words, and it's exactly what Dan wants. This is so very much gorgeous. One of those things that just makes you feel warm when you get done reading. Plus, yay! for the double date.

Oh, God, I love you so much. You totally capture the feel of the movie, and what could be after it ends. I love this: He's not listening because he's too amazed at the feel of Duck's fingers slipping into his own hand, warm and real and calloused. and this: the way Duck kisses when he wants to tell Dan he loves him but can't manage the words, and it's exactly what Dan wants.

Swoon. So utterly swoon.

Aww, thank you! I wasn't really in writing mode, so I didn't find it easy even just to write this little snippet, so I'm so relieved it worked!

Have you seen, isiscolo has posted a mid-length Duck/Dan story? I haven't read it yet, (I'm saving it for tonight) but I'm sure it'll be good.

BTW, I saw your suggestion for writing Buddy first kisses, but I didn't feel that I know Buddy well enough yet - I'm still new to the film/fandom! But I'd really like to write some proper Buddy fiction one day.
