Extra icons?

A while ago, _jems_ commented to me that she wished we could exchange some of our space for things like phone posts for extra icons, which I thought was a very bright idea. And she's happy for me to run with the idea, so here are my initial thoughts

I just read the post more carefully and notices you wrote that post not this post meaning you didn't mean for this post to be the comment post. Heh! Maybe you can just edit this one and present it to LJ? =)

Hee, I thought just a few people would comment and show some interest, then I could tidy the idea up and make it the official petition!

I thought of editing this post, but there are quite a lot of comments that I want to reply to (though the rate they're coming in I don't think I'll manage to reply to all of them!), so I don't want to skew the numbers - I want the numbers of comments to match the number of people interested. So I've put a new post up, and hopefully I can get around and ask people to link to that.

I think that's a fabulous idea! I think at this point, I have only one photo hosted on LJ, and I rarely use the phonepost option, and I could use my already-paid-for webspace for both of those things.

Saw this on _jems_ LJ and I completely support this idea. I'm constantly bemoaning my 50 icon limit. (Which I thought I'd never do!)

I was thrilled at the idea of 50 icons, but no, it's just not enough! *g*

_jems_ sent me over. I think it's a fantastic idea. I personally don't use any of the features such as phone posts or picture hosting. More icon space would be really really nice.
