I've heard Hades is very nice this time of year

I did the sensible thing and downloaded Mozilla a few days ago. Now I'm just waiting longingly for it to be safe to return to IE. I'm in the mood for familiar and easy right now, and I miss IE. Does anyone have any news on the progress of a fix for the virus ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to intrude on your LJ (I lurk occasionally because I love your art) but I'm slowly starting to fill with a panic. What problems have there been with e-mail notifications? Is it an IE problem or an LJ problem? Because if it's IE I'm in big trouble because when I attempted to DL Mozilla I encountered a myriad of system problems.

No need to apologise! And thanks for the nice words about my art.

I'm assuming the email notifications is an LJ problem, as it's happened before, but I don't know for sure. All I know is that I'm not getting all comments emailed to me (this one I only found by refreshing the page), and that I'm not the only one affected, as a couple of people on my friends page have mentioned it. It usually only lasts a day or two though, so I'm hoping it will be fixed soon.

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and had no problems at all. In fact it was a seamless changeover to my relief. I've not enough technical savvy to even attempt to guess what the problems might have been for you. There are other options though, besides Mozilla - Netscape I think is one. Maybe one of those would work for you?

Well I just checked with someone else and have been informed it is in fact, an LJ problem. *breathes huge sigh of relief* I too had noticed I was no longer receiving my replies so that's why I began to freak. Sorry if I spilled my panic onto you *wipes panic up with a spoon*

IE has actually never given me too much hassle, I monitor everything obsessively, run several anti-spyware programs, delete all my cookies and I'm pretty much ok.

Thanks for responding so promptly and since I forgot to say it before: lovely Clex WP. The moments that started it all.

It's always worrying when you don't know why a problem is happening, and easy to assume the worst.

I've temporarily stopped using IE because of the current virus that it's vulnerable to. There's more info here from someone who knows what she's talking about, unlike me.

On the positive side, I'm pleased you like the wallpaper! :-)

So glad you like it. I suppose I felt it was a bit simple for posting, but as I quite like it myself, I just thought others might too.

I know images of that crash and rescue have been used over and over in fiction and art, but there's so much significance in that meeting, and so much expression on both their faces throughout that scene, that it's just too tempting to work with.

I'm glad you can use it! :-)

I am in such awe of your artistic talent. You are definitely one of my icon inspirations. I'm not a HP fan, but I can still see the beauty in these icons :)
