Quick Tailoring?

Dec 06, 2007 10:32

I'm looking for a place that will do some quick & simple tailoring for me -- hemming some trousers and the like -- preferably somewhere in the city centre. I didn't find anything of the sort at Dailyinfo, so I figure that here is a good place to ask. Thanks for your help!

Do they? Crap, I just left my wool coat with them to be cleaned... How is their reputation bad?

Thanks, I checked it out. But I've got to ask... is £20 a normal price for a 5-minute trouser hemming job? I thought I'd become accustomed to the prices here, but I must say I was really shocked by that one, and I couldn't take them up on it. For that price, I'll either buy a pair of new trousers, or hem the darn thing by hand. I'm just wondering you think that's a typical price I should expect to find elsewhere, or the premium for shopping on High Street, or perhaps the extra special Stupid American Inverse Discount...?

That sounds quite expensive. If I were you, I'd shop around a bit and see if there are cheaper places. Or, alternatively, hem them yourself. Far cheaper in the long run.

On that note I've been meaning to find a place which can sew on some clips to a piece of luggage. Are any of these places more likely to be able to take a job like that?
