Blackwell music? The shop on Gloucester Green (by the bus station) is pretty good and reasonably priced, though I don't know if they have much world music. You could go to one of the folk nights at Port Mahon on St Clement's and ask people there. Or ask arifirh.

I occasionally find good world music at Virgin on Cornmarket, but really that's it.

Blackwell Music (upstairs) has a well chosen if limited folk section, though I don't know about world music.

Both Borders and Fopp have sections for world and folk... can't vouch for the usefulness of either, but they may be worth a look?

To be honest I tend to buy most of my music online these days... not so much fun for browsing but a lot better for finding specific things.
