I enjoyed the hell out of KSR's Mars trilogy, but the rest of his stuff bores me to tears.

I liked the "Science in the Capital" trilogy, too, so I figured I'd give it a try. This one was a bit of a slog at times (you'll be happier if you ignore it entirely), but it had some great moments and an interesting meta-story.
