I LOVE SPECULATIVE BIOLOGY

Let's all devwatch Abiogenesis. (blog has scientists popping up in the comments to give critiques, oh my god)

Specworld -- Whatever killed the dinosaurs never happened! Dinosaurs! Everywhere!

Snaiad -- Completely alien, crazy muscle system, awesome illos, whales with water-jet butts.

Eobasileus -- Posts from early ( Read more... )

I heard about that today too! The 10th grade biology geek in me totally punched the air. I wonder why it only grew one leg, though, if a gene was activating or failing to activate or whatever, you'd think it'd have more! So excited to hear the results of the autopsy they do on it. :D

Tetrapodzoology is the best blog (about tetrapods).

This deviantart guy is doing another speculative-evolution thing involving 'what if the dinosaurs (or at least some of them) didn't get extinct' http://povorot.deviantart.com/

Not as exciting as Specworld, but it has intelligent troodon descendants and weird mammals, amongst other things. Plus excellent art in general.

Hi! I'm Pavel Volkov, the creator of Neocene - Russian spec-biology project.
Here http://www.sivatherium.narod.ru/englver.htm there are some pages translated into English. I'd like to contact to this artist, because some of his works are very-very similar to my own ideas and ideas of my forum members (for example, Megatapirids are similar to my idea of shurga - the Siberian mastodon-like descendant of boar).
So, who can help me to contact him?

Hi Pavel! I'm sorry I can't tell you how to contact the Povorot deviantart artist other than the contact details he has on the site and this blog http://www.robotblood.com/
