Yep, we have chairs. If we had to stand for the whole first three movements, someone might have staged a mutiny! We don't have to stand until the choral part starts, when the baritone soloist comes in.
We've thought about doing remodeling, but it seems like a huge disruption, and I've heard a lot of horror stories. :\ I hope yours goes all right, overall.
