If it makes you feel any better, I have done a fair amount of research on the props this year and have been talking about them with friends and family. Would you mind sharing? I'm pretty set, but always looking for more information/opinions. And like you, I'm mostly shooting in the dark re: my local elections. =\

Exactly the same outcome as me, then. :) What convinced you 38 is better than nothing?

Because the schools need money, and anything that gets money to the schools is a good thing. And the tax structure in 38 at least makes a decent attempt at being progressive -- it starts at far too low an income bracket, but the tax burden on lower income folks is fairly low. If it didn't directly compete with 30, I'd have voted for it without question.
