I would very much prefer if reader's rights when reading/buying ebooks was similar/the same as reading and buying physical books, but I wouldn't even mind so much that my rights as readers are undermined if only it was explicit and the price of the ebook reflected the diminished rights. (That's not including fair use issues, of course, just the DRM and not being able to lend/sell the book.)

It's definitely an approach worth considering -- Apple did that for a while, charging more for songs without DRM. I don't know if I would go for that myself, though.
