Three things that are awesome

1. Day Five of actual summer weather, arriving at the end of September as per usual. Especially well timed because I had yesterday off work, and then today I had an offsite staff meeting that ended with delicious ice cream. Mmm, delicious ice cream. It's supposed to cool off tomorrow, but I have enjoyed it so far.

2. The magic number is four.3

1. I hate summer weather. Well, not the sunny part. Mostly the hot as hell part. And I do enjoy the thunderstorms. But I definitely prefer fall. 60 degrees is perfect.

2. Your baseball team makes me sad. The Tigers have had a great/awful year. It started great, we forgave what's his name for ruining Galaraga's perfect game, we got mad at a few other refs, and then we lost all our best players to the injury list/trades. This is why I prefer hockey players to baseball players - you can smash half their ribs and they keep skating, and they have loyalty to their team.

1. I have long accepted that my love of hot weather isn't the norm. But I do love it, especially the first couple of days of a real heat wave. I'm like a lizard, basking on a rock.

2. My baseball team has made me sad many years, too. More than I care to remember, right now... This year has been quite the roller coaster for the Giants -- slow start, then the hottest July I have ever seen, then they fell apart in August, but now they are putting it back together, and just in time.
