1.) When you walk in your front door, which room do you enter?
So I should start out by saying that, because we live in a loft, we don't really have "rooms" in the traditional sense; it's all one big open space. We have an upstairs, but it's a mezzanine open to the living room area below. The only separate rooms are the bathrooms. That said, the front door opens into a foyer area that's sort of like a hallway leading into the main downstairs room.
2.)Do you have a dishwasher?
Yes. I can no longer imagine living without one.
3.) Is your living room carpeted or does it have hardwood floors?
Hardwood. Technically it's some sort of laminate. It was carpet when T bought the place; he had it replaced before he moved in.
4.) Do you keep your kitchen knives on the counter or in a drawer?
The good knives are in a block on the counter; the cheap knives live in the drawer.
5.) House, apartment, duplex or trailer?
Loft (apartment); condo.
6.) How many bedrooms is it?
See above; I'd call it a one-bedroom.
7.) Gas stove or electric?
Electric, unfortunately. I'd love to change it but we're not allowed to run gas in here.
8.) Do you have a yard?
Nope. No outdoor space whatsoever.
9.) What size TV is in the living room?
27-inch. We talk every so often about upgrading, but T doesn't want to buy a new TV that's not hi-definition, and he's still not certain which technology he wants.
10.) Are your plates in the same cupboard as your cups?
Yes, all our dishes are in one cupboard.
11.) Is there a coffee maker sitting on your kitchen counter?
No. We have one in storage someplace I think.
13.) What room is your computer in?
Upstairs, in the area we've designated the "study".
14.) Are there pictures hanging in your living room?
Just one, a Joseph Stella print. It's tricky to hang photos that aren't overwhelmed by an 18-foot ceiling. We do have a few photos in the foyer area.
15.) Are there any themes found in your home?
Light colored wood; steel; frosted glass.
16.) What kind of laundry detergent do you use??
All Free and Clear
17.) Do you use dryer sheets??
Nope, no fabric softener at all. I am fanatic about unscented laundry.
18.) Do you have any curtains in your home??
No, our windows are covered with Roman shades.
19.) What colour is your fridge??
White.
20.) Is your house clean??
It's not dirty, but it is pretty messy right now. (T would answer this question with a flat-out "No")
21.) What room is the most neglected?
Again, not so much with the having rooms. The area around my desk and the top of my dresser are probably home to the worst clutter.
22.) Are the dishes in your sink clean or dirty?
If there are dishes in the sink, they are dirty.
23.) How long have you lived in your home?
Almost 8 years.
24.) Where did you live before?
A studio apartment in East Palo Alto.
25.) Do you have one of those fluffy toilet lid covers on your toilet?
No.
26.) Do you have a scale anywhere in your house?
We have a postage scale that we use for mailing things and cooking. No scale for people.
27.) How many mirrors are in your house?
Four, two in each bathroom.

The building has a garage, in which we have one parking space (which T uses for his car) and a storage cage.
