I don't know, but I'm sure I can find out, since I'd like to know the answer to that question too.

Stuffed teddy bear pie?!

Although formally entered into competition, the "pie" in question was not actually edible. One teddy bear in a woolden hat. The hat on the teddy bear's head is what (arguably) made it count as a pie, depending on whether or not you care if your pie has a topping.

The vision it brought to mind was one I encountered in an Enid Blyton book - one from the faraway tree series.

All the children (plus friends) went to a land that was full of tea parties, and all you had to do was say what you wanted and it would appear. Unfortunately one young lady got it slightly wrong and got 'bear tart' instead of 'pear tart'. I can't remember the exact description, but the image of a large round tart with lots of little bears (about an inch tall) all neatly arranged inside it has remained with me ever since.

What a lovely sounding pie! I'll have to track down that book.

February or March is looking likely. It'll be announced at least a month or two in advance. Maybe more.

An upmarket wigan kebab at that! The bog-standard one is simply three meat pies...
