Well, I told everyone about being taken from my mother as soon as I was born yesterday. That one isn't quite amusing yet. I did get to grow up with my parents as my best friends, but it wasn't quite the same as having them raise me from birth.

Maybe this one is more amusing: right after I graduated with my doctorate, I was kidnapped again by the group that wanted me to kill the Doctor. I was forced into a spacesuit and sent to kill him. I refused and broke the universe. He made me kill him to fix the universe and all was right with the world again.

Nope, still not amusing.

Oh, goodness. I sincerely apologize. It was a rather callous statement. I ought to have chosen my words more carefully. I was trying to be lighthearted and suggest that time can heal wounds. There's no excuse, and I can only hope that you'll forgive me.

If being silent is the fastest way out of here, perhaps it's a sound strategy. Though I do enjoy all of your company, and I've never been one to keep quiet when there's a wrong to right. Being held captive is definitely a wrong.

I'd like to think that we're not just fellow hostages at this point, but friends. I hope that once we've escaped, we can all stay in contact somehow. Bill and I both have ships, and I can get commlinks for everyone.

There are people who call what abilities some children have "magic", but it's training. No one really knows how they get their powers, or if they do it's a secret. The Order loves its secrets. The Witches I told you about have actual magic, but as I'm not a Witch, no child of mine could be. That's all genetic.

You're so kind to offer to help people you don't even know. People the government doesn't even consider people. It's an uphill battle, but those are usually the ones that need to be fought.
