XD Haha.
The composition setting sounds boring. T_T
Almost everywhere in town, I hear Japanese, just today I was having lunch, there was a japanese family next to me. I feel like there's more and more Japanese stuff in Singapore these days. Then again this is town. :D

aiyoh. you wouldn't BELIEVE the kind of compositions they have to write nowadays.

yup. i think all the japanese are flocking to ion! it's the new liang court! XD and it's bigger and much better too. ah but liang court wins hands down in terms of supermarket. PUDDING. have you bought the pudding from meidi-ya?! IT'S SO GOOD OKAY.

Nopes, I kinda stalk arashirabu's flist. Huge stalker potential I have.

I get what you mean, I guess because I study anthropology that I always think about these things and I just felt that the entry was a bit one-sided. But yups, get what you mean. I guess Japanese people have a very strong national identity and so on and so forth.

Wakarimashita!

on language, alfian sa'at has this BEAUTIFUL entry about how hokkien and other southern chinese dialects have such an important role in singapore because the development of words and the usage of those words reflects our heritage and history. http://www.blurty.com/talkread.bml?journal=sleepless77&itemid=204829

Ahahah I know about those compo! I frequently look at the topics they have to write and then think I'm glad I went to school when I did because the onus then was on English and we more or less had free reign on what to write on ( ... )
