Time Flies When You Spend It All In Your Apartment

Wow. In addition to Tax Day, today is the anniversary of signing the lease on the place here in the Land of Oak.

In honor, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite things about Murdertown, in case y'all want to visit:

Hey, thanks for the travelogue - it looks so eclectic.

BTW, what does slutty smell like? Not like NJ Tpke, I'm guessing.

Sincerely,
Clueless from NJ

Slutty smells awesome -- it's a heady mixture of flowers that I can't identify (roses, for sure, and night-blooming jasmine and these little yellow flowers that smell *so good*) and sea breeze and eucalyptus. It's the best smell ever.

Have a great time at the game! I can't wait to hear all about the new House That Ruth Didn't Build. :)

This does not look like you stay in your apartment all the time! These are all from outdoors! In the sun! So scary!

I do leave the house from time to time. On alternate Tuesdays. When the weather is fine. :)

I am outside right now, reveling in free Peet's Wireless!

We'll have to go again when the weather's warmer and the tomato farmers have come back.

Such a cutie!

This looks all great. I so have to come back to the US at some point and spend some more time in the Bay Area.
The first time around our time in the north was way too short to see all the beautiful sights.

That would be awesome for so very many reasons!

You saw a lot of the highlights, I think. These are quieter neighborhood pleasures, mostly.

We saw a lot.
But - it was still a rather short time and I was mega-jetlagged and still processing the fact that I was actually in California with all you guys in general.
So yes, there are still many reasons to come back for a closer look...not to mention the fact, that I would love to see you guys again.

Aw, I love the pics, and how cool that you'll be able to share the experience with your homies this summer?

Someday, my friend, someday.

Afterall, we could always have Truck-fucking-ee, you know?

(we're ignoring the possibility for the mo).

Dude, is there a possibility that Truckee is off? (That's great news, although I am psyched at the possibility that you'd only be a few hours away. And those are Western hours -- well withing day-trip territory!)

I am thrilled to actually show that I am not making up my, er, "family and friends" on the East Coast. And to show off the 'hood.

You'll love it when you see it!

Well, I'll say nothing is ever anything till it's done, you know? While the e-mail that I read from corporate was pretty definitive, the position has yet to be posted (not that it won't, it has to, at some point, and we've been told that it's been tailored with him in mind).

I'm just hoping opening will be delayed, for a while. I...don't wanna leave.

*pouts*
