I've Been Working in a Coal Mine, Going Down, Down . . .

Greetings and salutations, Flist.

Today, I had a job interview for a job that I will most certainly not get, and yet still managed to leave the office feeling good about myself and happy with the situation. It was a shocking turn of events.

I think that movie pm defined my childhood. whether or not that is actually a good thing remains to be seen.

re: the rest of your post -- I wish I had something helpful to say, but I am terrible at that. I can only keep hoping that your luck will turn in the other direction. you are totally a valuable member of society, b urie approved

There are many ways to contribute to the world that have nothing to do with work! You do contribute.

I do think that freelancing isn't ideal for you, but you know that.

Hey! Adventures in Babysitting was filmed in my neigborhood in Toronto! Soooo Long a go. In the opening credits they pass my family home twice (while still on the same journey) Gosh that brings back memories !

Were I in your shoes, I would be a total basket case so don't think less of yourself. You are indeed a real, valuable, actual human being to all of us here.

MrChic and I are alot closer to staring retirement in the face than you are to your college days. And it's downright frightening. I bitch about my job and how I wouldn't mind being out of said job...but then with hubby's worry about his business, I realize how very close we could be to the edge if things continue as they are.

We live in lousy times...interesting, but lousy.
