Since religion, the occult, etc, gets discussed with some frequency here, I thought it might be helpful and/or interesting to some of you, to know what my real, familial religious background has been. The answer is... total shambles.

Criminey. My family is very not-religious, so my only experience was with my friends dragging me to their functions. God Baptists are pushy and weird.
I looked into religion for awhile, but in the end I pretty much went the same route as my parents (they say believe what you want, be a good person, and organized religion is silly.)

Yeah, I wish my parents had that kind of religious apathy, but we've had more aborted attempted at religion around my house than you can shake a stick at. Thankfully, some of them have been hilarious in retrospect.

My father is an atheist and mom believes in a Christian-like god that just wants you to live a good life. That's it. :P
