(RP- Caleb)

It's a lazy afternoon- Dale never works afternoons, because he bartends. So he's home, cleaning house, doing laundry, entertaining his landlord's kid- just doing lazy-Saturday kinds of stuff.

Caleb may be surprised at how homey his place actually is, on reflection, considering the impression he must have of him.

A bit more homey, perhaps, but Caleb is building his assumptions more on that time he actually met Dale, not on the lastest events.

However, said events are making him a bit nervous as he knocks on Dale's door. But he needs to do this, needs to sort a few things out.

Oh, right, there's no sign of yardwork, because it's February in freaking Chicago. The door opens, and Dale blinks- then smiles, a little. "Hi... how are you doing?" he asks- opening the door and stepping aside so Caleb can come in. "Cuppa tea? coffee? glass of wine... or would you rather just cut straight to chewing me out for having been a jerk, s'your call." Well, then, he knows he was a jerk, at least?
It's a large space- mostly empty, with a loft above where one used to keep hay for the horses, and where Dale keeps his bed, now that it's been refinished. The carriage doors are gone- replaced with French doors.
...pretty swank, really.

"I'm rather well, circumstances considering," Caleb answers calmly, and if the small smile that's tugging on the corners of his lips is anything to go by; not completely without some amount of humor. Seems Dale's greeting was sort of disarming. "And believe it or not, chewing you out isn't really a part of the plan. Though I am planning of claiming some of your time. Oh, and coffee will do nicely."

"Well, I've got plenty of time to be at your disposal: I don't work 'till thursday night. D'you take cream or sugar?" he asks- there's even a freshly-brewed pot on.
"Please, make yourself comfortable, there's a coatrack next to the mirror by the door?"
Like any good Midwestern boy, he keeps the interior of the place sweltering, in winter.
Damned weirdoes.
