Heart part 3

Sep 26, 2010 19:45

So its for sure I go into the hospital on the 14th for an ablation surgery.

Basically they will run a wire from my femoral artery up all the way to my heart and "zap" the overactive nerve in there that has been causing my tacacardia(sp). I have lived with the 140bpm and chest pain for 5 years...its time to get this fixed

Tachycardia... but yeah. Jeezus, that's insane, bear... I'll light a candle for you. I have to go in on the 13th to get a baseline mammogram, due to my oldest sister being diagnosed with breast cancer this past July.

It's a pretty routine surgery and I think you'll be happy with the results. Good luck!

Yea I am told that, 85% success rate, the 15% left over is because they can't find the damn nerve (too deep in the tissue, or on the outside of the heart).

Regardless, I am not...my usual level of bravado going into this.

Surgery is never fun. I wish you well and hope you have a speedy recovery.

Sounds like this will be a good thing for you though.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, years of excuses to not come in work because "my chest hurts" and now "I have to have heart surgery." Boo fucking hoo. Now get back to work you slacker.

*Hugs* I'll just be happy to not have to see you living with this shit every day. I can't imagine how crappy that has been. Good luck with getting it fixed.
