hey I just read an article in which the Romanian town featured in "Borat" is called "Glod." is this just someone messing with a journalist or did the town seriously name itself "Mud?" either way, I am amused. :)

I'm sure it's named Mud. It's a gypsy village; the name is probably a cruel joke bestowed on it by Romanians.

...and I'm only half joking :)

I'll ask my students and see if anyone knows anything about it. E foarte interesant.
