Probably not many people noticed the girl in the hooded parka enter the Inn.  She might've been here for ten minutes or ten hours or ten days.  She's just... here.  In a corner.  Hiding behind her hair and willing people not to look at her.

Any attempts at socialization will be initially rebuffed.  So no one should feel bad if she tries to ignore

Xander's here in the Inn, eating pizza, reading a comic. He finishes the last page and looks up, but near jumps in his seat at the sight of the girl there (The beheading in Sunnydale has put him on edge).

"Woah, sorry, I... didn't even see you there." He sets the comic down and attempts to look past the hair and see her face. "You're like a ninja... or Buffy or something."

There is a squeak and then a thump as Allison registers that she's been noticed and immediately headdesks, causing her hood to come up and cover her head.

Hi, Xander. She's a bit shy sometimes.

...and he had thought Willow could be the epitome of shy.

"Hey, uhm, I don't bite..." Xander winces at the term that he used, angry flashes of vampires dance through his head. "Seriously... I come in peace and all that."

There is a long pause, during which the parka-shaped lump doesn't move.

Then, slowly, a hand snakes up and lifts the hood a bit, so she can peek out at him.

She still doesn't say anything.
