A door slams shut somewhere upstairs, and minutes later a rather bedraggled Sakura comes down the stairs and flops into a chair in front of the fire. Orochimaru was dead. And Sasuke had killed him

Naruto needed time to think and absorb the information he had received. Orochimaru dead? Sasuke. It was all just a little too much for him at the moment.
The inn, it was where he could clear his head a bit. He didn't even know that Sakura has entered it before he did. Of course, once seeing her pink hair when he entered, it was hard not to notice her.
Buffy frowns at her, a little concerned with the girl's ragged appearance. Not that that worn out look is entirely unfamiliar to her, but more often than not she's just as worn out as everyone else. Not often people she knows have drama that doesn't involve her in a major way.
She pulls up a chair beside Sakura and leans in toward her to ask in a slightly hushed voice, "Hey, you alright?"
Sakura blinked at Buffy, blinked again, and tried to smile. But it's hard to do that when the guy you were in love with and obsessed over is a power-hungry maniac who just killed the legendary ninja who went rogue, left the village, and put a cured seal on said crush. Said crush who in turn WENT to that legendary renegade for power.
Buffy frowns at her a moment, then gives her a quick, faint smile. "Right. It's okay if you don't want to talk - I understand. If there's anything I can do..."
Sakura shook her head. "It's just... death. People important to me either keep being killed of doing the killing. My village just had a massive bombshell dropped on it."
Sakura's was much the same way, so much so that she did something incredibly out of character, but very much needed. She leaned over the arm of the chair, absently running the fingers of one hand through Naruto's hair. Contact with someone from her universe, especially her remaining teammate and friend, was a good thing.
Naruto jumped a bit at the sudden contact. This was odd especially coming from Sakura. But once the initial shock was over he closed his eyes and felt himself leaning against her touch. It looked like words really didn't need to be needed at this moment. Even Naruto could tell they were thinking along the line of the same thing. Yea, it would be a bad idea to talk right now.....
There's a boy down by the fire, tallish and sharpish and holding onto his broom like it might fly away on him. There's a large black cloak about his shoulders, obviously too big for him yet somehow fitting, though most of it is hidden in the shadows from the fire. He startles as she sits, but doesn't say anything.
Let's see...cute (not that she's admitting it now) male teammate to one side, might-be-cute-if-she-could-see-his-face guy to another, Buffy across from her...life in the inn is good even when life outside is shitty.
He does look at her after a moment, when the fire is the only thing heating his cheeks. He's handsome, in a sharp, ignorant sort of way. His clothing is a bit ragged, which is what happens when you've spent a few weeks on the streets of the Emerald City, but the cloak covers most of that.
Well, her face has certainly seen better days, but around the puffy red eyes, pale lips, and cheeks flushed from too much crying he's bound to notice the pink hair, green eyes, and almost pixie-esque face. Were she to get up and move he might also note a manner of motion that poke more of battle reflexes and prolonged physical exertion coupled with something akin to a dancer.

"Sa-sakura-chyan!" he called out to her.

No, she's more like an empty shell at this point.

He sat on the floor leaning his back against the side of the chair. He wasn't exactly sure what to say at this point to her. His brain rattled.
