The door opens and a little girl comes crawling into the Inn, followed of course by a vigilant mother.

Laura looks cheerful but a bit tired this morning.

Turning one year old is hard work.

Sara, on the other hand, simply looks cheerful. A New Year tends to to that to people. Collins, having followed her in, quite agrees.

How about an uncle? Roger somehow stumbled into the Inn early in the morning, and is now sleeping off a hangover on the couch. Or he -was- sleeping off the hangover until a one-year-old started pulling at his pants leg. "mmmmwha?" Sitting up, he blinks at the light, then grins. "Hey, Laura. Happy Birthday, dearling."

Roger glares at Collins, but it's a fond glare. "Oh, hush, you."

"'Hush'? Since when are you that polite?" Equally fond.

"Hey. I'm trying not to swear around the baby!" And possibly hanging around Mark too much.

"I think she's already heard worse."

"And the ones on the way probably have too." Sara sounds wry.
