He takes notice of a man with the tea, humming, and smiles slightly, sauntering over to stand near him, one hand on the back of a chair at the table. "Beethoven. Always liked him. Had a friend who met him once... Mind if I sit down?"
Reply
"You can sit down by me any time you would like." He gestures for the other to take the chair. "Please."
And he pours another cup of freshly brewed tea.
Reply
"Thanks. Captain Jack Harkness," he says, offering his hand to shake.
Reply
"Ah, Captain." He nods, chin tightening a little. It's a instinctive manly, captain... thing. "I'm Captain Shakespeare. What vessel are you Captain of. If I might ask."

Just about now, she's decided she could use a swim, so she's headed down to the pool area in a bathing suit, with a towel over one arm - not that the Inn won't provide them if she thinks of them, but it just seems natural to bring a towel. It should be noted that she looks absolutely fantastic in that bathing suit.
She gives a momentary glance to Jayne, one eyebrow raised - mostly at the cuddling of the gun - and then drops her towel on one of the chairs some distance from him, giving Juliet a quick smile. "Hi there."
Reply
She wonders how many worlds such an outfit is normal in.
It takes her a moment to process the greeting. "Hi!"
It sounds a bit too enthusiastic, mostly nervous.
Reply
Quite a change from LA in the fall, for sure.
"My name's Harriet," she says, doing her best to sound friendly and unthreatening, since the girl sounds nervous.
Reply
She smiles, biting her lip a little as the question sits in her head.
"That looks... very pretty. What you're wearing." And frighteningly revealing. Just the thought of wearing something like that makes her shiver, goosebumps on her arms. "Is that what people where you're from... swim... in?"
Reply
"Something wrong?" Yes, she is just this nosily helpful.

JD blinks when he realizes someone's sitting across from him.
"What? Huh?" The question processes through his head a second later and he smiles. "Sorry, nope! Nothing's wrong. Just... thinking is all."
Reply
"Seems you were thinking about something worrying."
Reply
"It's nothing really. Just my brother coming to stay. I'm trying to think of ways to avoid getting in another big family fight."

She wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Juliet, she's probably be in the Lobby, curled up on a couch or maybe packing her things for a while and going back to her own time, but instead she's walking the edge and eventually coming to sit cross-legged next to the younger girl.
"You look like you wanna jump in," she points out, smiling just a little.
Reply
"I... yes. I think I would. It looks so very peaceful and quiet in there. And it is very warm. Much warmer than out here."
Reply
The blush doesn't escape her notice and she might smile a little more, looking down to the water as one hand reaches out to it, fingers breaking the surface.
"It is warm..."
Reply
The blush increases as she kicks her feet in the water.
"I don't know how to swim."
It might be such a soft mumble that it's difficult to hear.

He's dancing because he can, because he still has the freedom to do such a silly, frivolous thing here or anywhere else he pleases. Sometimes he forgets that, sometimes he takes for granted his ability to go anywhere, do anything he'd like but not tonight.
And soon enough his steps will take him towards one Martha Jones. "Hello there," he'll call out to her, giving a wave as he dances around her sleeping bag. "Lovely evening, isn't it? Just beautiful..."
Reply
"Yes. Very lovely. The stars are..." She trails off as she stares up at them. "Well, they never lose their beauty. Even from far away.
Reply
"So very true," he replies, his steps slowing and eventually stopping all together as he tilts is head towards the sky.
Taking a breath, he will tear his eyes away from the stars and look down. "Would you object terribly if I perhaps sat down? Dancing is wonderful but it seems I might have stumbled upon something I'd rather do instead."
Reply
"Think up a sleeping bag for yourself and sit down right here."
