((OOC: Jayne is from shortly after the episode Jaynestown. SO he's nothing like where the rest of them are from. XD Makes it even more confusing for him. Joy!))

Into the Inn walks a big guy with a gun.

...

"What the ruttin' hell's this?"

He lifts the gun up in front of him twists his head 'round to look behind.

No ship.

He looks forward.

No ship.

Back. ( Read more... )

Ianto happens to be curled up on the very same couch as he had been before when the man enters the Inn. There's an eyebrow lifted at sight of the gun, so he will stand.

Approaching the other (and making sure he has his gun, too. Not visible, but in its holster, just in case) he'll offer something of a smile.

"It's the Inn," a glance to the man's weaponry before his calm gaze is lifted, "And I'm not so sure a bigger gun would help you too much."

Normally, Ianto keeps away from the alcohol and lets those around him partake of it, because he's always looked at as the responsible one.

But he'll think up a shot for himself, because with this guy, he just might need it.

"I don't see why I wouldn't. But I don't find it very attractive to run around and waste myself over it, either."

And he'll down the shot. It burns, but he doesn't let it show on his face.

"Feel good, don't it?"

Jayne grins, triumphantly.

Yes, Jayne be proud of success in peer pressure. Especially when there was not much pressure just you wavin' your shot glass around.

"Relaxin'. Don't even care that 'm stuck in here no more. Not when there's plenty 'o drinks to go 'round."

Ianto thinks up another drink, but only holds the glass, examining it carefully.

This really, really wasn't a good idea.

"What'll you do when everythings worn off?" He raises an eyebrow and tosses back the next shot for the hell of it. There might be a small cough. Maybe.

"Sleep." Jayne seems to think about it and shrugs, taking another drink. "Buy a whore. That always makes the pain go away."

"You can't quite buy a whore here."

And maybe Ianto says it because he wants to be mean, but he doesn't know. Maybe it's the alcohol getting to him, which, is completely plausible.

And so here's to another shot.

"Y'can't?" Jayne is not pleased by this news and he expresses his anger by slamming another shot back. "Well, what's the point of havin' an Inn if you can't have no whores?"

"Unless they've stumbled in, I'd say not."

Ianto doesn't think up another shot. He can already feel the slow rise of warmth in his cheeks from the small amount he's already consumed.

"And this isn't the stereotypical Inn, I'm afraid. Didn't I explain that to you a few times already?"

Jayne grins and drinks another.

He's not even getting a buzz yet. Damn, this is one big, muscular boy...

"Yeah, yeah. I know. Sorta. I just stop tryin' to understand stuff."

"Do you really?"

Sarcasm. Oh blissfully sweet sarcasm.

"That's a novel concept."

"Bizui!" Jayne growls. Apparently this sarcasm was strong enough for him to understand for what it is. "Just cause you wear a suit 'n you get this place. Don't make you no better 'n me. Got it?"
