It's gonna be a happy New Year!

It is, consequently, New Year's Eve back in Calfornia, too. So JD is happy to have stumbled into the Inn again. He's in his scrubs, because he just got off of another doubleshift (nothing like kissing ass to make sure you keep your job), and he's hopped up on about two energy drinks. It is advised that he not have any more for fear of his heart

The narration has to throw Chase at the two gun-constructing boys, because, well, that's obvious.

He comes down the stairs (almost dressed in work attire, but a strange tie? Long forgotten) and stops almost immediately when he sees the other two's inventions.

"Already had too much to drink?" He teases as he approaches them.

Chase just smiles behind the kiss, deepening it as JD protests. He inches closer to Ben and even lifts a free hand to run through the other's dark hair and rest behind his head.

JD facepalms and turns away from them sending a look to Martha though he doesn't know the girl. A look that seems to say PDA, what's up with THAT.

Ben takes another moment or two before he pulls away and looks Chase in the eyes. "I love you." It's whispered, a little... strained, almost.

Chase smiles, a bright sort of smile that really doesn't fall from him all too much, "I love you, too." He whispers in return and places one more small kiss to Ben's lips before pulling away completely.

There is a little concern at the strain in the other's voice, but he'll question it later, he's sure.

"I think it's safe now, JD." He smirks.

"Thank God." JD turns around and rolls his eyes. "I mean, honestly."

He has his hands on his hips and waves one in the air as if that clearly shows his exasperation.

Ben laughs. "Y'know, you look really fruity when you do that."

JD throws a fistful of corks and both of them in retaliation.

"He's only telling the truth, JD, don't be too upset."

Chase teases and sheilds his face as the corks are thrown at him.

"Amazing defense you have, too." Oh, he's just one happy Australian right now, JD, he'll apologize later, definitely.

JD just sighs and shakes his head. "I'm going to go find April. At least she appreciates me."

There may be tongue sticking outness before he disappears on the other side of the door.

Ben laughs. "We make a great team, y'know?"

"Happy New Year," He waves to JD before looking to Ben.

Chase laughs, too. "Looks like we do. Though I don't think JD appreciates it very much."

There's a moment of silence from him before he does look up at Ben, a little more seriously. "How're you feeling?"

Ben blinks and tilts his head at Chase.

"Fine." He raises an eyebrow at him and turns so that he's facing him. "Why?"

The words are a little relieving.

"Y'seemed a little off earlier, but I was just seeing things, I think." A small grin.

It fades to a smirk, "So what are your New Years Resolutions?" Yes, Chase asks even if he doesn't believe in them.

"Most likely." Ben smiles and nods. "It's okay. It happens to everyone."

He tilts his head to the side. "Hmm... I think I resolve to love you more stongly and live more alive." Ben makes a face and rolls his eyes. "Way too cheesy and cliche, isn't it? How about... finish up that album you gave me. Till it's overflowing with pictures."

Chase just laughs at Ben again and shakes his head.

"Just a little." Nodding his head, he listens again and smiles, "That sounds like a good one, I think. Though I might have to get you more photo albums with the way you take pictures."

Ben slides his hand over Chase's.

"And what about you?"

There's a look of thought upon his face, but he shrugs.

"Prob'ly to drink less coffee." A grin, "Even though that won't happen if y'keep me up all the time."

He turns his hand and gives the other's a squeeze.
