Enter Faith, back from a trip to her home 'verse.

Her arms are full of books with titles like A Hystory of the Vampyre and The Slayer's Handbook, and the look on her face is one of total shock - as if she has just been struck over the back of the head with an anvil, or perhaps just had her entire worldview turned upside down and shaken vigorously

Buffy has a slight look of surprise as she walks through the door - this place? Again? - but it is quickly replaced by a bright smile when she notices Faith is there too. "Faith! Hi!" She has not yet noticed Faith's stunned expression, nor the books she's carrying. Buffy has a tendency to get distracted by things like wondering, really, why couldn't they find a way to put the entrance to the Inn in a closet and make things easy for everyone?

"...Buffy!"

Faith tries for a smile.

Really, she does!

It...doesn't work very well.

She notices that the smile falls flat. And starts to ask, "Are you okay?"

Really, she gets as far as, "Are y..." and then she trails off, staring at the books in Faith's arms. Really, she's just noticing the top one, and that it looks old and important, a lot like most of Giles' books, and it's got the word Vampyre in the title. Her voice is completely flat when she asks, "Where did you get those?"

Faith blinks at Buffy, then looks down at the books in her arms. ".....uhm. My...new...guardian. Gave them. To. Me."

There's a ninja walking across the ceiling of the inn, nose burried in a scroll the Librarian gave her. Chakra does work in this place, which is a relief to her, it just has to be visualized in a different way.

A scroll falls out of her pocket and nearly thwacks Buffy on the head. Not that she'd be very interested in vampires...the closest in her world is Orochimaru, and he's completely nuts. If the two girls want to spar though...

Buffy jumps to one side and blinks at the scroll on the floor - it had missed her by just a bit. And then she looks up. And frowns.

"...Faith? There's a person on the ceiling." She's not actually so much telling Faith this as asking her to confirm that she is, in fact, seeing what she thinks she is.

Sakura looks up, well, up from where she is, and blinks. "Um, mind tossing that back up? Sorry about almost hitting you!"

She smiles, and goes back to reading, but not before sitting. Upside down no less. as it doesn't bother her in the least it can be assumed she's been doing this defying gravity thing for years.

Buffy complies, bending to pick up the scroll and tossing it carefully up to the girl on the ceiling, all without taking her eyes off of her. You'd think she'd be used to weird, at this point. But vampire-weird and walking-on-ceiling-weird are kind of two different things.
